If you find you are unable to login into your control panel, there are a few different ways you can reset your password for it. You can reset it using this link and enter the email you registered with and select "Forgot your password? Click here to request a password reset."
Your control panel credentials will always match your Billing Area credentials, although ensure both emails match.
