How to Setup Your Subdomain Print

  • 295

Setting up your subdomain is relatively simple! This guide will walk you through the whole process.

Do note that it may take up to 24 hours to be operational, but it rarely takes more than a few minutes. If you experience connection issues after the initial application, you can still connect with your numerical IP. If you are unsure what your numerical IP is, please submit a ticket to our general support department.

NOTE: Only Minecraft: Java plans can register subdomains at this time. This is unfortunately due to game limitations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Adding a Normal Subdomain

1. Start by logging onto your OneControlCenter panel here. On the sidebar, select "Subdomain."

2. In the first box, type in the subdomain you wish to have.

NOTE: Allowed characters are all alphanumeric (letters and numbers) characters, as well as underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.). Other characters won't work.

For example, your server's name is "MCPVP". You can choose to have MCPVP as your subdomain by putting MCPVP in the input box.

3. Select the core domain you would like. We currently offer "mcpro.co", "mcph.co", and "mc.gg".

4. Click "Register".

Adding a Shield Subdomain

If you have purchased the Shield addon (or otherwise have it included in your plan), it's highly recommended to set it up instead of ever giving away your numerical IP. This helps avoid DDoSes and better secures your server.

1. Start by logging onto your OneControlCenter panel here. On the sidebar, select "Shield.”

This opens up the Shield page. The left side goes into further detail about Shield, while the right is where we'll do most of our work.

2. In the first box, under "What would you like your Shield subdomain to be? Players will use this name to connect", type in the subdomain you wish to have.

We currently offer "mcproshield.com", "mcpro.co", "mcph.co", and "mc.gg".

4. Click "Create Shield Subdomain.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I do not see the "Subdomain" nor "Shield" on my panel's sidebar!

A: If you're the server owner, ensure the server is a Minecraft server. Only Minecraft servers can register subdomains as other games currently don't support this feature. If you're a sub-user, ensure the owner has permitted you to manage subdomains.

Q: I'm getting an error registering the subdomain! What should I do?

A: Usually, the error indicates the problem with registration. For example, "This subdomain is taken" means you will need to choose another subdomain. If there's an unknown error you're unsure how to solve, please contact us via ticket!
