How to Manually Install Minecraft Plugins پرینت

  • 37

Minecraft plugins add features to a server, taking a regular server and expanding onto it with new commands, minigames, features, and so much more. This guide will show you how to install Minecraft plugins manually to a Minecraft server both on your server's control panel and by using an FTP client such as FileZilla

To manually install plugins on your Minecraft server:

1. Login to your control panel.

2. If your server is not already running on a server type that supports plugins, you need to switch your server to a version that does. We recommend the server types Paper or Spigot for running Minecraft plugins. Some plugins may need a specific server type; make sure to check what kind of server type the plugin requires.

3. If your server is running Spigot, Paper, or CraftBukkit and you have started the server at least once, on your control panel click FTP File Access.

4. In FTP File Access, click on the plugins folder.

5. Click Upload File at the top of your File Access and then click Upload.

6. Locate and open the plugin you wish to upload.

7. Press the Upload File button to upload the plugin to your server. You should now see it in your plugins folder.

8. Restart your Minecraft server and the plugin will install and in most cases generate a folder within the plugins folder. This will hold all the configuration files and such for the respective plugin.

To manually install plugins using an external FTP program:

1. Connect to your server's FTP File Access via FileZilla.

2. Navigate to the plugins folder.

3. Drag and drop the jar file into the folder on the right-hand side of the FileZilla screen, or right-click and upload the file if you have navigated to it on the left side of your FileZilla screen.

4. Restart your server and the plugin will install and in most cases generate a folder within the plugins folder. This will hold all the configuration files and such for the respective plugin.

Things to note:

- If the file extension of the plugin is a .zip file, after uploading that file select it and then click on the Unzip button in your OneControlCenter File Access to unzip the plugin. All Spigot, Paper, and CraftBukkit plugins exist as .jar files. A .zip file is NOT a plugin.

- If there is a problem with the plugin it will display an error message in the console so it is best to refer back to the console regularly.

- Check that the plugin works for your Spigot or Bukkit version. This can be seen on the plugin's Spigot or Bukkit page.

- You may find information about permission nodes, configuration options, and extra installation steps on the respective plugin's page.
